For determining the presence or absence of AC voltage in an electrical system such as insulated wire and cables, wall receptacles, and fuses. It is not necessary to disconnect the system as no contact is required for operation. Current flow is not necessary to locate voltage. Simply apply the plastic tip to a connection or pass it along an insulated wire or cable. If voltage is present, the LED in the probe will glow bright red to locate voltage of 100-600 VAC. Batteries included. UL listed.
